Monetary Donations

Monetary donations we receive directly benefit the women, children and youth who access services at Cythera Transition House Society. We are happy to accept monetary donations through Canada Helps.

Wish List Items

Those who access our services are sometimes in need of more than just housing, support or counselling. Many women, children and youth have to leave their homes and subsequently their belongings. Cythera strives to meet the range of needs our clients have and your donations help!

New pajama's & underwear

Every woman and child who comes to stay the house is provided with new pajamas. This simple gesture reinforces the importance of comfort and fosters a sense of importance and feelings of being cared for.

Gift Cards

We all experience situations in our lives where it may be difficult to make ends meet. Life often provides unexpected costs at times when our focus may be drawn to other challenges in our path. Whether it's a gift certificate to a coffee shop, gas, movie theatre or grocery store, Cythera is able to alleviate some of life's pressures by providing gift cards to clients. Without the generous support of the community we would not be able to help women fill the fridge, put gas in their tank or treat themselves or loved ones to an afternoon at the movies.

If you wish to donate these items, they can be dropped off at the Counselling Centre.

Cythera Christmas Room

Every year Cythera is over joyed with requests from the community to support our clients during the holidays. To best meet the needs of the women, children and youth who access our services, we have created a no-cost shopping experience in our Christmas Room where program participants can choose gifts for their loved ones or for themselves.

Those impacted by abuse and violence are often faced with having choices in their lives limited or removed entirely. The Christmas Room serves as an opportunity for those impacted by violence and abuse to feel empowered by choice.

Our Christmas Room is an extremely effective way to meet the needs of so many of our families during this time of year.
