Our Journey to Reconciliation & Delivering Culturally-Sensitive Care
We respectfully acknowledge that Cythera lives and works on the traditional, unceded territories of the Katzie First Nation and Kwantlen First Nation. We also recognize and honour the many Nations represented within the urban Indigenous population of the Fraser Valley and Metro Vancouver areas.
As a society supporting individuals and families impacted by abuse, we understand our responsibility to learn from the histories, perspectives, and experiences of Indigenous Peoples. This understanding guides the ways we provide care, build trust, and create spaces that are safe, inclusive, and empowering.
We recognize that our journey toward reconciliation is ongoing. There is much to learn, and we commit to continuous reflection, listening, and unlearning as we work alongside Indigenous communities. We honour this work as a priority in all that we do and welcome dialogue, guidance, and partnership as we strive to do better.
